About which is a better city to travel to Memphis or Nashville

Which is a better city to travel to Memphis or Nashville?
My husband and I are looking to go to TN this summer in August for our anniversary. I am trying to figure out where would be a better place to stay at and site see. I know they are like 3hrs apart, just looking for a lil bit more help :) Other - United States - 2 Answers

Oh! My first recommendation is the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention center in Nashville! That place is soo awesome to stay at! It is like a botanical garden/town inside a glass building!

Can you travel by train from Memphis to St louis?
I'm going to six flags in st louis this summer, and I live near memphis. Does the train in memphis travel to St Louis? I have no idea how trains work, but I've been told it's a cheap way to get where you need to go, and better than taking the bus.

well you can but is not cheap one routing has you taking a train part way then a bus plus you will leave at 10:45pm have to change to bus at 3:00am in the morning at Carbondale, IL (CDL) Station News PT7H20M Duration: 4 hr, 31 min tthen you would be on a bus for 2 hours.. that routing will cost you $82.00 other routings have you changing train in chicago which will cost you anyway from 137.00 to 161.00

Yes. Amtrak runs there. You can take the City of New Orleans 58, then transfer at Chicago to Texas Eagle 321 to Saint Luis if you want to spend 161 bucks. You can also City of New Orleans from Memphis to Carbondale and from Carbondale take a bus to your destination for 81 bucks.
